Great read for dads to be I'm writing this at week 22, and I feel phenomenally empowered with knowledge to help me continue preparing to be a first time father. This is an insightful and easy to read "book", I am grateful to have read it and encourage you to do the same. I believe the information is accurate and sincere but at times it can be difficult accepting a source of information if it's also a source of solicitation. Not sure if Adrian's publisher had a choice, bit I would of gladly paid a few more dollars for the content with out the subtle (or not so subtle) advertisements throughout. All in all, still a terrific book for first time dad's.Great book new dads! Got this for my husband after finding out I was pregnant. He really likes the author’s style and that it breaks up pregnancy into manageable chunks. It goes week by week and gives him a little more insight as to how I’m feeling and what’s going on with baby. His favorite part is that it gives him helpful tasks to do week by week.Seems like a great resource for dads-to-be I bought this for my husband since we just found out that I am pregnant with our first. I read through a little bit of it before I gave it to him, and it seems like a great resource. It has eased my anxiety that he has a book to help him understand what I am going through so he can help me a little more. He likes that it is broken down week by week and that it even has stuff for after the baby is born.

She was born on January 7, 1891, in Notasulga, Alabama, and grew up in Eatonville, Florida. While I realize no one's a saint and no one's achieved perfection, I'm always fascinated when a person is brave enough to be true to a higher standard even when they may work in an industry that readily rewards other behavior. BUT - OH GOODNESS THE BOOK IS SURPRISINGLY GOOD! Please forgive me for failing to even consider that I ACTUALLY NEEDED TO READ THE BOOK. (type out the embarrassed🙈emoji here). The book is so transparent, complete with first-hand testimony and revelation. I learned things about the male mind that changed my approach to certain things. I'm also elated to witness the emergence of men like DeVON that are "alpha" enough to face correction and accountability. He shares critical advice about gender and relationships, and he makes me feel that there's no longer any need for the BATTLE OF THE SEXES. Not her best... I absolutely love Elin Hilderbrand and look forward to her new book coming out every summer. Although the writing of this book was very good along the lines of her usual style, the story was hackneyed and oddly familiar.This book revolves around "Meredith" whose husband just got busted for the largest Ponzi scheme in history, to the tune of $50 Billion... Sound familiar?!? All her friends disown her and her children are prevented by the courts from speaking to her. She just happens to have an old friend from grade school who happens to have a summer house right on the beach in Nantucket... (Why don't I have friends like this to call when I'm having problems?!?) Anyway, she goes to Nantucket to escape the media circus only to encounter a stalker, a love interest, and further troubles from the press.The book may be a little predictably and too close to the real Madoff story, but it is well written and definitely a good summer book. However, if you want to read only ONE Elin Hilderbrand, read one of her others.Difficult to let this one go I loved this story. The characters were so well developed, the story flowed along beautifully, and now that I have read it all, I am finding it hard to get the story out of my mind. Meredith had such a charmed life, and when it fell apart, she had to figure out how to go on. It took her some time, but she did it and did it while remaining true to herself, even discovering some of that truth along the way. Connie was still grieving the loss of her husband and had her own demons to deal with. Both women had much to figure out, and they did it with grace and a bit of a helping hand. I have read several books by this author and enjoyed them all for the most part, but this one will always stand out. It's a beautifully told story.Insightful & Topical With the Madoff scandal continuing to be in the news (just today their longtime accountant's son committed suicide) we get a fictional peek into the life of an innocent player - in this case the "no-nothing" wife. The author builds a believable story of how one could be totally innocent of any knowledge of her husband's crimes; and she creates a character that we really like, too. Not an easy task. I wouldn't like the character if she appeared to be totally clueless about everything in life; but this character seems totally engaged and very likable. The story is presented in present time and flashbacks. Supporting characters are well drawn too. My only complaint is that life gets a little like "high school" around the edges when an additional love interest appears on the scene. It is a good read and a good value.

He made his personality shine through while inspiring and educating the readerCompletely Relatable and Beautiful I preordered this book and received it this afternoon. After I put my babies to bed I sat down and read this in one shot. Yes, it’s that interesting.Let me start by saying when I first started watching Queer Eye I did not like Jonathan. He was just too much. He was loud, bold, and invaded personal space. I just couldn’t wrap my head around it. The more I watched and learned from each episode the more I realized I wasn’t being my authentic self. I became a shell of who I once was. A loud, bold, invading people’s person space, fierce woman. I couldn’t watch JVN because he was who I wanted to be, yet didn’t realize. When this self awareness clicked I became a huge fan and supporter. I knew I had to buy his book.I had a misconception that this was going to be a fun, light, happy for lucky book as JVN is often presented as. My sister informed me that there was some thick subjects in it. I tend not to read things that could trigger me. I was tempted to not read this book, but when I read the sensitivity warning I was so thankful! I wanted to include a photo of the warning so if you too are worried about this you can see what it says. Any sensitive matter was gracefully and tactfully done. I’m really appreciative that JVN took this approach and was aware that his book could harm others if it wasn’t handled properly.How JVN approached every. Single. Topic. Was so well done and empathic to his readers. This book isn’t just for one “type” of person it’s really a relatable book for everyone. It’s a book that celebrates who you are and also teaches you to forgive yourself.If you’re like me and thought that book was going to be light, fluffy, and funny, then you’ll be in for a surprise. Yet, it’s a great surprise. JVN peels himself back layer by layer in each chapter until he gets to the core. As he put it in the book, “a perfectly imperfect mess”. So perfect that it made me love him more. Yes JVN, I love you even though you've shown the other sides to yourself.I love the cover of the book and the script is nice and large. The one thing that would really have put this book “over the top” would be personal photos. The Bill Clinton report was sweet, but I would’ve loved to see some family photos. Maybe next time?Overall, this book was great! I can’t remember the last time I sat and read a book all the way through in one go. This book leaves you wanting more and I look forward to reading about the next chapterS of JVNs life in the future. I highly recommend this book!
